The reality you seek is not only in your dreams, its just a dance move or two away.
Dallas Yung lives a lonely and mundane life, stuck in a routine that offers no excitement or freedom of expression. The world in which Dallas lives is a repressed one, where the government monitors and controls nearly every aspect of its citizens. Those who break the rules are taken by Drone Police and “relocated” where they are never heard from again.
Breaking curfew is a serious crime, and so when Dallas learns that his neighbor Alice Jensen has been sneaking outevery night, only to return with a pair of beaten up shoes, his curiosity takes over and leads him to following her. AsDallas pursues Alice into the darkness, he re-emerges in a strange new place, with a very different way of life.
Dallas will ultimately learn that there are two worlds. The current one in which he lives - his reality. And then this other seemingly magical world, where everyone is free to express themselves and live how they choose. While the repressed world is visually bland and monotone, bordering on grim, the free world is vibrant, exciting, and emotionally up lifting.
But there’s a catch. Several, actually. The first is that the free world can only be accessed through a secret “RabbitHole”, or doorway. The second catch is that everyone is automatically “ejected” out of the free world at exactly4:15am. The final catch is more of a rule. The one and only. You cannot take anything with you from the free world back with you.
The story focuses on the duality between worlds and over the 5 issue arc shows the pros and cons of each realm asour main protagonist unknowingly brings these two worlds together for a harmousnesss existence.
